Default 2007 G29 gas - squeal/rattle noise coming from primary clutch?

I have had an electric G29 for years, and just picked up a 2007 gasser a few weeks ago. It runs great and have had no performance issues. However, when it is cold, and I first take off, I hear a rattle/squeal sound. I first thought it was coming from the muffler, but it appears to be coming from the primary clutch when it is initially engaging. What can I do to remedy this? Do I need to grease the clutch or change the drive belt? I have been searching other posts but not finding much. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Clutch cannot be greased, has no provisions for it (would do more harm than good). Try a new belt
Part number "JW1-G6241" . A Yamaha OEM belt is the bare minimum, dont buy any "cheapo" belt, it wont even last a year. A better belt would be a kevlar one from one of the 2 most reputable belt guys, Plowmans (www.plowmanscarts.com), or G-boost. A really good belt doesnt cost a lot more than a OEM belt.

That clutch setup is known to munch belts, and even the OEM belt often doesnt last the full 4 years suggested as a belt replacement interval in the service manual.

Thank you for the advice. I ordered a belt from Plowmans!
