Default Carb adjustments still rich g21

02 Yamaha g21 new carb, filters and plug. Adjusted the carb as recommend and still smells rich. Haven't looked at the plug yet but do these carts have a a normal exhuasty* lol smell to them? I've never been around gas carts before so to me it has a hint of rich to it but I'm not sure.

Is this a $300 Yamaha carb? Or a $40 Amazon carb?

What's the problem with the old carb? Did you replace it because of the smell or other reason?
Do you still have it?

I replaced it due to the cart sitting a few years with fuel in the bowl and after trying to clean the carb twice it still wouldn't run properly. I do still have the old carb though

It's kinda pricey but because I work on a lot of carts I have it. ($30.00ish a gallon))

Get a gallon of the gunk brand or equivalent carb cleaner from any box parts store, comes with a little basket inside.
Do a full teardown and soak for about an hour, then wash out all parts with water, then blow out completely with air.
Rinse with water first because the cleaner is very caustic and you don't want that blown all over your good stuff. (good paint remover).
Reassemble and should be good to go...
