Default lifted yamaha g-16

i just lifted my 2000 yamaha and it has alot of movement as far as the shocks
i used motorcycle shocks on the front and car shocks on the rear with coil overs on them. the cart leans real bad when making turns. what shocks do yall use on youre carts. i started with motorcycle shocks all way around and it was terrible. the car shocks helped alot.

the cart has 7" of lift and i kept the factory angles on the shocks.
should they be more vertical?

Did you buy a factory lift or build your own? Most car shocks are not designed to carry weight. Post what the shocks were designed for and maybe someone will have more info on them. The rear of yamaha's are normally lifted with a bar that moves the shock mounting points and there is normally no need to use different shocks.

built my own lift and i added the coil helper springs to carry the weight the back seems to be fine now after some tuning the helper spring to carry the weight of added passengers on the rear seat. just the motorcycle shocks on the front seem to be the issue.

Post some Pictures! If you built your lift may want to consider building some brackets and put the original shocks back on. Some people are running UTV or side by side shocks. Don't think the motorcycle shocks will be strong/stiff enough since all the weight is distributed evenly on all 4 shocks on a mc. A cart you are offset to 1 side putting more weight on 1-2 shocks.

the G16 leans a lot in corners when lifted as it has the center pivot for the rear swing arm

plan for me is to run with 400ex quad shocks as soon as they come in. home built 5", so far the front is done. i will worry about the rear when i get to it.

nope. basically the stock suspension acts like a three link in a lot of ways. with the stock shocks acting as the third links
