Few Questions
First I am not sure what model of Yamaha I even have, I can not find any model tag or serial number anywhere. It is a 4-stroke motor, I think that I read something like 280cc on the cylinder, I'd have to look again to see exactly.
But one thing that I am doing is making it go faster, I eliminated the govenor and am running the throttle direct. But now the motor hits the rev limiter and doesn't go as fast as I'd like. Is there a way to over ride the REV limiter or something that I can change (ignition module). Any help would be great! Thanks, Dustin |

Re: Few Questions
Welcome to BGW!
First thing to do is figure out which model you have. If rib's post don't help, post some pics of the cart. |

Re: Few Questions
Thanks for the replies! I have looked in all these spots and then some and still can not find a tag of any sort. I will get some pictures of it posted on here soon and then maybe we can get something figured out.
Thanks, Dustin |

Re: Few Questions
sounds like you have a g2= 285cc motor and an electronic rev limiter in the ignition.

Re: Few Questions
Snox, these are small low rpm engines and you will be flirting with
destruction if you disable the rev limiter. I am guessing from your user name you are into sleds, these litle thumpers will not rev without a lot of revs. Search subarumouse for racing engine mods on these small motors. |
