Default broken accelerator cable how do i remove?

Having trouble figuring out the prper way to remove this cable. not really sure of my carts year. i know its got a 2cylinder engine and the cart is an off white(i think maybe between 95-00 but i really dont know). the accelerator pedal assembly is somewhat enclosed under the cart and the cable goes through a small hole at the back. does this whole enclosure have to be unbolted (4 bolts 1 each corner)removing the gas pedal and all. or there something i am missing?
