Default Chrome center caps

Does anyone have any idea where I can get chrome center caps to fit an 8 x 7 offset black steel wheel with a 2.25 inch center hole? Snap on or push through is ok. I've looked everywhere with no luck, the smallest size is 2.5 inch.

If there are none out there, is it safe to remove an 1/8th of an inch from the wheel? Basically bore out the center hole to accept the 2.5 inch push through caps.

I'm pretty darn sure that would be okay. How in the world are you going to do that?

Well, I guess I should have asked that too. I havent quite figured that part out yet. File would take forever. Hole saw probably wouldnt work well either.

Any others have an idea? Hole saw on a drill press?

www.everythingcarts.com on the left under 'Wheels' then click on 'Wheel Accessories'.

Give them a call, they usually offer a discount with BGW orders.

They were my first call, apologized but said they had no center caps to fit 8 inch steel wheels. I looked at all the site sponsors and most carried 2.65 inch caps.

For now I just torqued the chrome lugs over the 2.5 inch caps I got in a kit from Everything Carts. It works, but wanted a different and proper solution.
