Sled runners on an ezgo
Got bored Sunday and decided to put snowmobile ski's on the buggy. I bought a old Artic Cat 340 a couple years ago. The drive clutch was shot so I kept it for parts. I hope these pics upload so everyone can see what it looks like! It took about a half a day and some leftover metal pieces to get it done.

It goes pretty good. The snow is wet( it started to rain ) but for a little 2pg it does alright. Hmm... the sled has a 340 cc engine that did run. I wonder if my wife would notice.(her cart)

Re: Sled runners on an ezgo
I did the same thing a few weeks ago on my Marathon, only I used aluminum for the mounting bracket. After spending a good week or so tearing up the snow over New Years we bent the aluminum brackets a bit. So using steel for those adapters is a must.
A couple of other issues we had...... - getting the cart in & around the garage requires a dolly of some sort. - Going in reverse can flip the skis over & smack the front of the cart good. Maybe a safety strap or stop on the bracket would keep that from happening. - the cart with the skis on it is too long for a regular cart trailer. Was a lot of fun though. It definitely steers better than with tires on it. |

Get the exhaust and motor mounts done before hand (I can send you pictures) and you can have that 340 in there in 30 mintues! She notices, then your only out an hour! LOL
