Ran the first clone I did about half a summer before it loosened up, so I'll change mine after 10 hours or so then go synthetic after I feel it let loose at least 2 months use. It got ran a lot but not very far didn't want to trail ride until everything was figured out....so I don't know hours.

I don't know if synthetic is that good, they run it in brand new cars now....but I think you have a lot better precision with cars today. I could tell a significant difference with the cart and I'd rather it broke in faster if anything. Couple years ago they stuck rods in clones but they seem to have fixed that now. Both these clones have been test fired when I got them, but I don't want to find out I'll not be hitting high rpm for a while lol. Rods usually stick because they are too tight. Its good in one way but not if it sticks on you.

Gas in oil usually from bad pump or carb leaking float while it sits there.
