2000 EZ GO TXT starter
I have a 2000 EZ Go TXT that has been having an intermittent starting problem. At times when i push the gas pedal to start you can hear the starter spining but there is a few second delay before the engine starts. Last night I drove it home about a 5 min ride home had my head lights and fog lights on and the cart ran fine until I stopped in front of my house then when I went to start it, you could hear the stater spinning but it would not turn over the motor. Any suggestions? I am planning to check the battery and give it a charge when I get home from work.
Here is a list of accessorys: Head lights Turn Signals Horn Charging port Thanks Jason |

Re: 2000 EZ GO TXT starter
Check your charging system also. If the battery went dead on you, letting it sit all night will let the battery accumulate enough of a charge to start the cart.
To be clear, do you hear the starter turning without turning the engine, or does it start to turn, then stop? If it's turning the whole time, the belt may be a bit loose. To check your charging system, just hook up your voltmeter to the battery and drive the cart with the accessories on that you normally use. The voltage should rise to around 14V after a short drive. |

Thanks for all the help! I replaced the belt and that fixed my problem.
