Carb help
I am new to the forum and new to golf cart ownership. I bought a 94 ez go medalist with the robins engine. I have been trying to sort out the fuel system and I think I almost got it but now when the cart is running fuel is pouring out what looks to be 2 vent ports on the passenger side of the carb. Can anyone tell me where these are supposed to go? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Carb help
The overflow/vents should have a short length of hose on each (approx. 3") routed towards the underside of the cart.If gas is continuously coming out of the vent(s) your bowl float is probably stuck due to trash, corrosion etc.

Re: Carb help
The carb was just soaked over night and cleaned really well. The cart would only run with the choke on when I got it. I cleaned the fuel tank, all new lines, cleaned the fuel pump, and soaked the carb and blew it out with compressed air. It runs great now except for dumping fuel on the floor. What is the float supposed to be set at, could this be the problem?

Re: Carb help
soaking alone generally will *help* but to really get things working right, all the jets, needle valve, etc need to be physically removed and cleaned out. I had a 97 that peed the floor consistently until I pulled it apart, there was a chunk of ? in the needle valve that kept it from seating correctly when it was closed, and it was just enough to not affect running, but also just enough to let the gas flow out.

Re: Carb help
I did pull everything apart when I soaked it, but I will try again maybe I missed something and it will give me a chance to double check the float setting. I will do it tomorrow when I get off shift, and give an update.

Re: Carb help
Thanks for the help and good call, I pulled it apart and the float was stuck. Unfortunately I broke off one of the ears that holds the pin for the float so a new carb is on it's way.
