Is it possible that the some or all of the batteries were charged backwards at one time...I see this from time to time with lawn mowers...If u have a completely dead battery and someone hooks it up backwards and charges it the poles will be reversed. This really freaks out a lawnmower starter will run backward on some models

Mike is correct. It is called a speed board, wiper board, speed, control board...etc. If yours is arcing that doesn't mean it bad. It means you have a bad connection or something hooked up wrong,

Welcome Johnny13,

As per your answer...what are you supposed to do when you have it all hooked up?

Digital Volt/Ohm Meter. Seriously, if you have an electric cart you need a Volt/Ohm meter. It doesn't have to be digital, any will get the job done. Last one I bought was from Wally World for around $25 and it was digital. Makes trouble shooting electric golf carts alot easier.

It can be cleaned up. What ever you put on it will burn off. Just sand where the bolts go so it makes a good connection and you will be fine. That is of coarse given its not broken or pitted too badly.

Check with Tom at CPP. Give him the part number.
