Default solenoid "POPPED" and now its dead

I was having problems with my 2006 EZgo 36V model TXT. First it just stopped moving. I could hear the click of the selonoid when I pressed the pedal to move. I changed it out anyways and then went to start it up and the selonoid "Popped" and now everything is dead. Any suggestions. I have never messed with an electric one.

what do you mean it POPPED? and before you messed with it, to change it out.....did you disconnect the battery pack?

oh and btw..... Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Welcome to BGW!

What type drive system does your 2006 TXT have?
If the Direction selector is a rocker switch on the dash and the controller cover has a Run/Tow switch on it, it is a PDS.
Otherwise it is a series (series wound motor)

Need to know which drive type to troubleshoot it.

However, whether it is a series or a PDS cart, what is the voltage between the main positive and the main negative terminals on the battery pack?

Direction switch is behind my legs. Have to reach down a big handle while you are sitting in the cart. I will have to ask the tech the other question. I know we just changed out the batteries a month or so ago.

Ok - A 2006 TXT with the direction control lever by you right knee means it is a series type drive.

The solenoid isn't clicking, so that is the first thing to fix.

Here is a schematic of a series cart with the solenoid activation circuit highlighted.

With the total lack of capitalization, near lack of punctuation and a texting abbreviation, I can only speculate as to the meaning of your post; And I choose not to.
