Default bent axle

what would be the best way to check for bent axle?
09 G29 ......
jack up the rear, remove wheels and run cart?
It looks like I might have one. when I am driving I look at drivers rear wheel and it has a small wobble to it. I don't think I have a bad rim
Thanks for the help

Simply switch rear wheels, left to right and observe again. If the problem moves to the other side it's the wheel. If the problem stays, you may have a bent axle.

If it is the axle, take it out of the car and take it to an auto drive line shop. They can straighten it!!

Have you seen how big those axles are? If you have one bent, you would have been in a big accident.

Thanks guys, I got the cart out of a lease program, when I test drove it everything seemed to fine with the mechanicals of the cart. I am now on the fence about maybe a bearing being bad in the housing....... is that more common?

You have a much newer car than in your pic. Find the problem, but axles and brake drums (if it has brake drums?) should still be available for an 09 car!!

I think your going to find that it is far more common to have a bent rim than a bent axle.

I have replaced many bad bearings in G29 (both gas and electric), my recomdation to you is to look for oil/grease on the outside of the bearing and check for any "lateral play". Once the beraing is "exploded" you will have a really/really/really hard time cutting the outer race out of the axle housing Bearings are cheap from a bearing house (I can get you the bearing # if needed). Like posted earlier....those are thick axles, eather wheel/bearing or hub. Good luck
