G2 Negative Black fuse keeps blowing.
Hi all the black or negative (not really sure what it is) fuse keeps blowing on my G2. I want to know what causes this problem so I can go through my wiring and see if anything scraped and is shorting. I really want to know why this fuse would blow and if it is anything like ac ground faults where the blow with power on the ground?

Bad fuse holder. If you have add on's upgrade to a 20 amp or a short in the wire harness to frame.

Re: G2 Negative Black fuse keeps blowing.
One of the causes of this fuse blowing is if lights and accessories are connected from Bat.+ to chassis ground (like in automotive wiring). When you do this it puts the additional current for whatever is connected through that fuse causing it to blow.
Lights and accessories should be connected from Bat.+ to Bat. - through a fuse dedicated for the powered item. This fuse will also blow if any of the hot wires happen to come in contact with the chassis. Hope this helps. I suggest getting your wiring from the stickies for help troubleshooting. RAY |
