Default New rear hub assembly w/brakes

2016 Yamaha G29/Drive with standard rear brakes on each end of rear axle.... Has anyone seen a whole hub assembly that comes with hub, bearings, and brake assembly all in one?
My brakes are starting to give out and one of my " star keys " isn't functioning right so im looking to replace whole assembly to where i just need to attach brake cable to hub.

Any idea how i could make this happen? Thanks guys

Default Re: New rear hub assembly w/brakes

The self adjuster with star wheel assembly is easy enough to get and replace. I am guessing that some of the teeth ae worn down because the brakes were never adjusted properly. What usually happens is that the self adjuster was never wound out enough to properly adjust the brake shoes. Instead, the brake adjustment was made on the cable at the brake pedal. This is done because its just easier.
The problem is that by winding out the brake cable instead of the self adjuster, the self adjuster actuator never completely returns to the home position thus allowing it to grab the next star wheel tooth. Instead it just rides on top of the adjuster teeth and wears them down.
The fix is to replace the self adjusters, loosen the adjustment on the brake cable and make sure that the self adjuster actuator is coming completely back to the home position, wind out the adjusters until drag is felt on the brake drum, and then cycle the brake pedal until the self adjuster stops actuating. Make the final adjustment on the brake pedal cable so that all of the free play is out of the cables.
