Remove the snap ring (that retains the bearing) and use vise grips or anything else to latch onto the axle, then hit it with a hammer to drive it outward. Can't damage the broken axle if it's already broken.

I was driving at about 40 mph on a dirt road and hit a washed out part of the road that I didnt see and when the rear bottomed out my back tire hit the frame right behind the drivers side tire and kabam the wheel flew past me and the cart started to skid while leaning sideways. The next day I got my heavy duty shocks in the mail so my 25" tires wouldnt have a chance to rub. If I cant get anything on the axle is there another way of getting it out. What holds the axle in the rearend?

The snap-ring he was referring to holds the axle in the rear end...
