Default 2010 C/C Precedent accelerator issue

Cart speed is not constant when accelerator is anywhere but to the floor.
After releasing the accelerator it seems like the cart slows down too fast.
thanks,

You may want to read up on the MCOR post on the top of the page, sure could be your MCOR.

I did a little research before posting my issue which led me to either the MCOR or the speed sensor located on the motor. Is there a way to test either of these?
Thanks

Ok so your likely looking at two things here...

1) Regen Braking kicks in as you lift your foot on the pedal and indeed slows the cart electrically accordingly based on pedal position. This feature is built in and can't be turned off, but it can be tuned down by a tech with a programmer.

2) Inconsistent speed is almost always a sign of a worn MCOR and with a 2010 model it is worn. Do not replace with a MCOR2 like is in it replace with a MCOR4 and adapter harness from the likes of David Hicks site sponsor Revolution Golf Carts....

3) read the red stickies on top of the CC pages here...

Ok it seems like the MCOR is bad, however I do have one more question.
Is it possible the Regen Brake is not working right, causing the problem. Please be patient with me. This is my first Cart, just trying to gain a little knowledge. Also I am working off of a phone now and not sure where to find the red stickies. Thanks to all that have replied.

Yes, if the MCOR is bad, it can affect the regen braking. I had one myself go bad a few years ago on a 2011 C/C.

With the key switch off, press the accelerator rapidly about 30 or 40 times. If it clears up for a little while, then it probably is the MCOR. That will be a temporary fix though.
