Default No voltage on B- & M-

I have a 94 Ezgo medalist 36 volt series cart. It was running and then quit. I have changed the f&r mechanism and replaced the solenoid, adding the diode and resister that was missing on the old one. I am getting 39 volts on the pack and each battery has been tested. I am only getting about .5 volts across b- & m-. I am not getting any voltage across the large studs on the solenoid. I am getting pack voltage from b- and each of the f & r studs. Any body have any ideas?

Default Re: No voltage on B- & M-

After the solenoid clicks, there shouldn't be any voltage between the large studs on the solenoid because the high current contacts are making contact.

If the throttle pedal is only pushed far enough to make solenoid click, there should be full battery pack voltage (39V) between B- and M-.
If the pedal is on the floor, 0.5V is possible.

Sounds like there is an open someplace between the "C" stud on the F/R assembly and the M- terminal on the controller.

Possible problems:
Bad cable to A1 on motor.
Bad cable to A2 on motor.
Bad brushes in motor.
Bad armature.
