2013 Ezgo RXV will not charge

I just checked a working one. At room temp (mid 70s), it was around 9600 ohm. Dropped into high 8k range after holding it in my fingers for about 20 seconds.

I got a 10k ohm resistor from work today and installed it in place of the thermistor hoping it would get us by until my new one comes in but it didn't work. Charger started flashing the same fault again. :( was hoping it would work but oh well. It was worth a shot.

I had one of those chargers with the same symptoms after we had a lightning strike close to the house. I now have the new charger connected to a surge suppressor just in case.

That doesn't sound good as I have had a lot of lightening here lately. I hope it's not the charger!!!!

I had the same thing happen. Lightning storm that knocked out the phone lines for the entire area. My QIIQ RXV charger started showing thermal sensor error, opened the charger and found a surface mount resistor, R78 on the vertical PCB was burned. I don't have a schematic to see what the value was. I put 4 battery maintainers on the RXV to keep it at full charge until I have the time to deal with it.

I went to www.cartsunlimited.net and looked at the DPI Accusense. While the charger price is very reasonable, due to the weight and distance, shipping is a bear. I just don't trust buying something like that from eBay or Amazon, even if they do offer free shipping. I trust ScottyB. Maybe I can order one while I'm the hotel in ABQ NM. I'll be closer to him.

Is the accusense better than the qiiq? I really like a wall mount charger! I have seen some chargers that were about $150 as well. This isn't a cart that's used very much. Maybe only three to four times a month for an hour or so. I am starting to think that's my problem. I went in the shop and all the GFI's were tripped and that's when it started acting up.
