9 holes per battery charge
I own a 2006 Club Car Precedent . Getting only 9 holes ( on regulation course ) with two bags and passenger. Batteries are Gel non - maintenance type,9 months old. I have have run multimeter tests as per the Club Car tech manual on the batteries . They check out OK. The charger, Club Car Power Driver 2 checks out OK as per test in CC manual. During charging cycle the charger cuts off after approximately 8 to 8 1/2 hours. I have read the charging process can take as long as 13 to 15 hours. Is that true ? My latest effort was to have my cart repair shop check it out and he replaced the OBC. He "said" things checked out OK and give it a try. I played 9 holes again yesterday with my wife and have same problem. No endurance. The charge light came on during our short ( 5 minute ride home. ) I ran the CC manual check on the OBC. Multimeter set at 200 volts and black probe touch to the gray wire contact on the OBC and the red probe to the positive terminal on the number one battery. Multimeter registered 0.07 volts . Manual says the volt reading should be 48 volts. If not , replace the OBC. I ran the test 3 times and same results. Is it common or possible that the "new" OBC is defective from the manufacturer? Thanks guys!

Re: 9 holes per battery charge
Those batteries are not right for a golf cart and they probably are not taking a deep enough charge anymore.
You could have obc issues but I doubt it, someone will chime is soon who knows a lot about this stuff, welcome. |

Re: 9 holes per battery charge
You may need an obc that will use a special algorithm for those batteries....
