Re: Battery Tester
This cart already has head and tail lights installed. I haven't ran them yet at night, but have turned them on to make sure they work. I would guess these are just wired into the regular 6 battery wiring system, as there is no extra battery. No doubt, that would probably be a really big draw off the batteries when using, wouldn't it?

Re: Battery Tester
The 6v/12v tester will work, but you need to find out what the amp-load of the tester is.Most of the smaller handhelds are 125amp.This isn't enough to properly test the batteries. To load-test,you need to draw half of the CCA of the battery. The larger "Hand-Held" units can pull 400-500amps,and will work good for this. The "Scotty-Meter" is a definite Must-Buy,but you still need good batteries, and a good Initial-Test is important.Hope this helps.

I just assumed that it was at lest 250 amp because of the vehicles it was designed for. Very interesting |

Re: Battery Tester
My hand held is only 100 amps. So the readings I got earlier are not really accurate then?

Re: Battery Tester
Says it's good for golf carts, cars, trucks, lifts, boats. Heavy Duty 100 Amp Load Tester. Would using a Hydrometer with the float balls inside help determine the charge of my batteries? I got one of those today and was going to take it down with me this Fri. when we go back to the campground.
