Can i put a newer style seat on my 88 ds?

Hi im rebuilding a 88 ds.It now has a 98 body.I dont like the single backrests.Can i put a later model on thats one piece?Any mods need to be done?Do i need the 98 top supports?Thanks

Yes you can do it but I think you will need the roof supports
