Sounds like the ITS microswitch is messed up.

Is it mounted and connected correctly? Does the micro open and close electricly when you operate the pedal? Right now if you were to leave the key on and the cart in gear and forget it for a few days the solenoid would likely burn up. Its not normal IMO.

OK, I just got it to fail again, and no, the solenoid does not click on and off. It just loses power.

Thanks, gornoman. I have replaced both the ITS and the microswitch. I have tested both and they are testing OK. I did have to adjust the plunger position a bit - to 7/32 - with a drill bit. While I was in there examining it, it occurred to me that that was the only adjustment you can make to it. Once you get the plunger to 7/32, everything else should be right on. Is there some other adjustment to make in the pedal box?

Yes, the micro opens and closes as you would expect and as shown by my multimeter.

Check the in harness plug connectors for dirty or corroded connection. Inspect the harness from the throttle box for damage.

Pedal box harness is new as well. After installation, I checked all connections thru the pedal box harness with my multimeter. All seem OK. I checked voltage thru the ITS black and white wires, connection thru the red and green wires on the microswitch, using the pedal box harness' pins. It all looks good. I get 14 volts on the ITS black wire and .8 volts on the ITS white wire.

Dumb suggestion but have you verified the controller is set to ITS?

How do you do that? Would it even run if it was set any other way?
