Re: Jesus what a fast cart
According to the calculator, 7700 actually. Not like that's impossible. Pretty high revs for a street cart though.

Re: Jesus what a fast cart
I will check with him in the morning on the tire size as I am not 100% sure. its a 2013 cart and other than gears and speed code, is stock from what I can tell. He owns 9 EZGO/Club car dealerships so I know he is being accurate. He showed me his phones gps app after our last run and it read 37mph......

Re: Jesus what a fast cart
I'll bet he has 22 or 23 inch tires.

205 65 10 are his tires. All I can tell you is we did three runs and it ticked off 37 on the first, 36 and then 36 on the second and third.

Re: Jesus what a fast cart
205/65-10 have a nominal diameter of 20.5". They can be actually +/- 1" if measured mounted.
His rpm is still high, 6000+ (my calculator on this computer stops at 34mph. I know RXV's use an AC motor which is different then every other ezgo. I don't know the stock motor limits but that is a high rpm by any standard. Was he going downhill? |

Re: Jesus what a fast cart
20.5" tire @ 37 mph = 6400 rpm on the calculator. Not that high really. We turn 10,000+ with our series motors but only for a few seconds at a time. The question is how sustainable the a/c motors will be at that rpm if they are run wide open for an extended period of time. I'm not very familiar with the a/c motor configurations. Bottom line is that rpm is certainly attainable so the 37 mph is totally plausible.

Re: Jesus what a fast cart
Ask JohnnieB is 6400 rpm is high. That's when his motor let go and locked up the rear tires. Scary stuff.
