Move this topic to the Yamaha Gas section...

If you mean it has the 300 engine, it's probably a G14. It's not that old.

Give more details.
Does it turn over?
Does the solenoid click?
Is it getting fuel to the carburetor?
Is there a good spark?
Are all the connections tight to the solenoid, grounds, and starter/generator?

Is the plug new? It may be getting spark but it may not be firing under compression. Stick a new NGK BPR2ESB in it (I'm assuming you have a G14 with the 300cc engine).

If it is definitely getting fuel, I would go ahead and replace the spark plug. Start with the tune up items. Make sure the throttle on the carb is opening all the way when you press the pedal and the air box is completely sealed.

If your getting fuel and spark the either the plug is fouled or you have no compression. Try a new plug first then if that doesn't work do a compression check.
