When I did the conversion on my cart the 4 pin module I bought wouldn't work. It wasn't that the module was defective, it just wouldn't work for the HEI conversion. It was a BWD CBE4 (new version).

This attached pdf file by L. Dudzik gives information on how to test a 4 pin module to determine which "family" it falls within.

The module that worked for me was in the 1.25 volt family. I ended up using an Autozone DR100.

The CBE4 that I tried that didn't work was in the 0.0 Volt family.

Hope this information helps.

Same HEI module on both carts?

Can you try the HEI module from the cart that works on the other cart?

On robin pre mci motor how do you handle two plugs assuming you want to upgrade coil? Will this DR100 operate two coils without failure and is there advantage to upgrading coil? If there in no benefit the I don't want to waste time with it.

Just use a GM DIS coil. It is a single coil that fires two terminals at once. They put them on most front wheel drive V6's from the 80's to the 2000's, so they are very easy to find in junkyards.

The Autozone to go with that DR100 is the Duralast C849.

I installed one last night, and I'd say the spark is robust. This is on a spark tester:
