Default '93/'04 Marathon 295cc Engine Swap

I'm about to purchase (from a fellow member here) an '04 295cc that he pulled out of his cart to replace it with a larger engine. My only concern is... WILL IT FIT without major modifications?

It's coming out of a '04 Marathon and being installed into a '93. All of the electricals come with it. My only concern is that there seems to be some extra brackets that come with the engine that I cannot seem to locate on my cart.

My Ike Project is beginning to breath new life.

Assuming the 93 was a 4 stroke........
The engine mounting plate on the 93 isn't the way it's done on the 04. the engine blocks are the same but there's brackets that bolt to the engine and the rear that would be used instead of a mounting plate

Yes. My '93 is a 4 stroke and the '04 engine I am considering purchasing is also a 4 stroke. Any suggestions (or simple modifications) that would make this work? Would the brackets (if I could find them) work on a '93?

You shouldn't need to mod anything to mount the engine. those extra brackets have a use on the 04, the 93 does not use them. It uses a plate instead. You may have an exhaust mounting difference depending on if the 04 is a mci engine (exhaust manifold is part of the head on the mci engines) Now when you say bracket I am assuming these are what your talking about cause it's the only difference I can think of between the two engines. Without me looking at it you could be talking about something totally different, there are many different "brackets" on a cart.
