Re: Ez go rxv navitas 600?
Yeah I’ve read over and over that having a guy you can’t get ahold of reprogram your stock controller is superior...
I just put a Navitas Tac2 600-amp on my 100% stock ‘15 RXV. Stock 18” tires, stock battery cables, stock everything, and it now does 33 MPH! With slightly larger tires I’m sure it’ll go 40, which I don’t even wanna do. And unlike a reprogrammed stock Curtis, I can change my settings or set my top speed limit, amount of regen, etc easily anytime via Bluetooth on my phone or by turning knobs on the dash. It also reads you your trouble codes. I’ve gotta say, the Navitas seems to kick the *** of the reprogrammed Curtis. I’m glad I didn’t listen to the propaganda. The secret to the Navitas is you have to email the company and they “unlock” it for you. That was quick and painless and required nothing but asking them and the next time I opened the Navitas app it was done. Before doing that my cart only ran about 22 or so. Maybe people not knowing to do that is where the rumors of it not being so great came from. |

Re: Ez go rxv navitas 600?
so who's got the best deals?
can it be bought w/o the OTF? (I see OTF for $100; might be better to buy separate?) |

Re: Ez go rxv navitas 600?
Call Navitas! I have never yet not someone pick up the phone there and help me! Great company.
My 2017 TXT with the "Mean Green Machine" 600 amp AC conversion kit + 5 kw motor runs 35 right out of the box on 22" tires. Acceleration and regen are wicked. Total customization possible with the dealer app and the OTR controller lets you change speed, accel. and regen right there and lock it with a key if my kids drive it. It is the ultimate kit and after installing it there is no looking back. No slow down on inclines with AC as well. Totally satisfied !! |

Re: Ez go rxv navitas 600?
I’m sure bb programming is great . If hes available to you thats definitely an option. But the navitas is also a good option. You have to consider the bluetooth app that comes with it. Adjustability and trouble warnings are nice. It literally flashed up on my phone a warning and told me what was the problem right then. I would have been chasing my tail trying to figure it out. Once was a welded solenoid and once was a throttle pedal not returning to top. I don’t know what the usual donation is to bob but you would also have to factor in cost of a handheld scan tool also to figure cost.... the navitas with otf controller can be had for 800 delivered all day long. If you wanted you could recoup a couple hundred by selling your unit.

Re: Ez go rxv navitas 600?
Even though you can communicate and tune via the Bluetooth app, the OTF makes it much easier to tune while you drive.
The Bluetooth app gives real time feedback, but you can't tune in realtime with it, you have to stop, and save the changes into the controller. With the OTF you can literally turn the knobs and get immediate feedback from the changes without stopping. I didn't realize the differences when I ordered, so I thought I didn't want the OTF. It turns out the OTF is far more useful to get things dialed in than I was giving it credit for. |
