Rear end noise
Had to replace an input shaft. Now the cart has a gear whine. I know it’s from the new gear mashing with the old gear. Anything I can do to make it quieter other than replacing other gears?

Re: Rear end noise
Have you changed the gear oil in the rear end?

Re: Rear end noise
When I installed my new Plowman's Limited Slip, Mr. Plowman instructed me to buy 4-5 can's of brake cleaner, pull the axles and clean out all the oil in the entire rear end\axles. Make it "squeaky clean".
Then replace the oil with all synthetic oil. I did that and it's been running fine ever since. FWIW |

Re: Rear end noise
My experience with my old RXV Dana rearend, it was whining before and after Input shaft replacement due to worn gears
New oil didn't help either, finally and 1100$ later it was fixed with a whole new transaxle. |
