Re: @#%%#$% front shocks - help!
Hoping they go on a lot easier than they come off!!
If these shocks don't work out, they'll let me return them and I'll go another route I guess. |

Re: @#%%#$% front shocks - help!
I had to use a cut-off wheel on the front and back shocks. It was a good thing I was replacing them anyway. Fortunately, the new ones went in a lot easier.
Good luck.... |

Yes the new ones go in like a dream. You can just hold the shock body by hand and tighten with a wrench.

Add a little anti-seize when you put that nut back on. Here in FL with the Heat, Humidity, and the Salt air it equals to a nightmare for anyone. If you could use a small palm impact gun it may snap the nuts off. Just a thought.

PB Blaster used to be my almost best friend..........then I discovered AERO KROIL. KROIL is much better than PB Blaster on stuck threads.

Re: @#%%#$% front shocks - help!
It is my understanding that gas charged shocks rest at there fully extended length. If that length exceeds the extended length of your old shocks it may be difficult to mount the new ones. Let us know how they fit for ya.

Re: @#%%#$% front shocks - help!
Gas shocks should come tied down to a middle length for installation. Do not cut that strap until the shock is where you want it.

Re: @#%%#$% front shocks - help!
This is true. Very true. It will be a thick plastic white strap from end to end. Leave them hooked at each end until installed then cut it with a pair of dikes.
