1988 EZ-GO Marathon for sale
I recently bought a 1988 EZ GO 2 stroke gas golf cart. It had been sitting for a while and I did not have any idea what it would take to get it running. I put a new fuel pump on it, and replaced the micro switch and spark plug. Clean carb and had to fix some wiring. It does not have a seat and I believe it was oil injected at one point, but it has been removed and I mix the gas in the tank. The seat was in such bad condition that I threw it away. Anyway after doing all that I got it running. Seems to work decent(goes forward and backward) but just does not have a lot of power. Did a compression test and only got about 100 psi. Not sure how much you need but that seems low to me. I was actually wanting an electric, but got this one cheap and now I want to see if I might make a little on it. Not really sure what it is worth, but I figured I would post it and see if anyone was interested. The body is in decent shape. The plastic looks ok and I have not seen any crack, but the front and rear plastic caps are not in good conditions. I live in Kilgore,TX, but the Golf cart is at my station that I work at in Henderson,TX. If anyone is interested email me at KyleWoodall@msn.com, I check my email very often. I want about 600 bucks for it, but I will negotiate a little. Don't want to give it away so I can not come down to much off of that.
Thanks KYle |
