Re: Help with EZGO PDS
Here is the diagnostic page from the DCX 400.
After reading the PDF file from Alltrax I am not sure there is much that can improve the speed. Which part controls the torque? |

Re: Help with EZGO PDS
That controller will get you 24mph with the stock motor.

Re: Help with EZGO PDS
Scottyb,
I don't know if it is a stock motor as I believe it was replaced when the cart was made. Have you heard of the ES 9B 50? If not what motor do you recommend? Wrongway, I see that you have built a 48V. Is that something I can do with upgrading the batteries to the T875 or do I need to do something else as a modification. Not sure what my next move it to improve speed but not lose too much torque as we only ride on the streets and most are flat but we do have some hills on our way to the club. |

Re: Help with EZGO PDS
That's a D&D torque motor, sell it to somebody who wants to ride in the hills and take their motor with the trade... you will be happy with a stock motor.

Where can I get a stock motor and is it ok to use with a lifted cart? Really appreciate your help.

Re: Help with EZGO PDS
You stated you use the cart for flat street driving. The stock motor will be okay with bigger tires and 400 DCX control with 4 g cables.

Re: Help with EZGO PDS
Scotty we do have some hills that can be steep. Will I lose most of my torque?
Do you have a serial number I can use for a stock EZGO motor to look up? |

Re: Help with EZGO PDS
You could use the D&D 501-1 motor for 16 mph and still have some torque gains.
Or you can run the stock motor with the 400 DCX controller and have torque gains over stock. I suggest you find a used PDS motor and try it with your controller, then go from there... |
