Hi All,
Does anyone have the dimensions for the rear leaf springs on a TXT cart. I am trying to get a set made. Thanks in advance |

Re: EZGO Leaf Spring
You know you can buy a new pair for $70.00 or so, right? You don't have to get them custom built!

Re: EZGO Leaf Spring
Just some helpful info for measuring springs,I work for a spring-shop.
1.Measure along the spring from eye to eye centers (measure each leaf for multi-leaf packs) 2.Measure from eye-centers to center-pin(some are offset in one direction) 3.Width of leaf(probably 2") 4.Thickness of leaf(In the U.S. we measure them in Decimal-ex: .260") 5.Number of leaves 6.Inside-Diameter of Eyes(for bushing fit)or measure bolt and give rough dimension of eye for reference,a shop can fit an appropriate bushing. We've built a few custom front-springs for my Ez-Go,and also built a custom lowered-spring for OffTwice for his Club-Car.The shop I work for has been in buisiness since the 50's,we build 75% of our inventory from bulk-steel thru tempering to finished product. If you need assistance or a spring built let me know.We can build to spec.or custom build, and ship them to you.Hope this helps. |

Re: EZGO Leaf Spring
Thanks all,
Cableguy you are correct and to buy original EZGO in Australia will cost a small fortune, about $160/pr. I can get them made a lot cheaper from a spring manufacturer but it is getting the correct measurements, Pachanga90 is correct with what is required. As I mentioned before the only ones I had to work off were old. Anyway, thanks again for your replys. |

Re: EZGO Leaf Spring
I forgot about Arch-Height.You can have yours Re-Arched and even a leaf added(same as a heavy-duty).Measure the cart height at front and rear of rocker panel to ground and tell the shop how much you need the rear to come up.If you want heavier-springs for a rear-seat or dump-box,have them do a build-up(extra-leaf).Hope this helps.
