Default PDS Electrical Issue

I have a 2001 EZ GO PDS. When I bought it everything worked fine. I took it apart aand painted it and then reassembled it. After I got it back together everything worked fine. Then the lights and blinkers stopped working. Today I drove it for a little while and plugged it into the charger when I was done. The charger does not charge and now it will not turn on. I have checked the connections and nothing is loose. I am new to golf carts (at least trying to work on them) and I don't know where to start. Any help would be appreciated.

Assuming you have 36 plus volts in the battery pack ..... trace the solenoid activation circuit to find the failure.

PDS solenoid activation
Power starts on the White wire on the 36+ of the battery pack.
Power travels to the charger receptacle, goes through a reed switch inside the receptacle and comes out on the red 12 gauge red wire.
The red wire travels back through the loom into controller molex connector at pin 4, out of pin9 to the keyswitch and back in pin 8, out pin 1 to the directional toggle switch & back in pin 3 or 4.
Finally coming out pin 7 to positive side of the solenoid activation circuit. (yellow)
The negative side of the solenoid activation circuit is out of pin #6 (blue)

The peddle micro switch is a separate control circuit at controller plug J4 basically red to switch and green back.
The Run/Tow switch is also a separate control circuit.

Thanks for the help. I got it running again but still no lights or blinkers. At least I got that. You rock.

That good. Can you locate your 12v source? Is there an in-line fuse holder anywhere on the battery pack?

There is a fuse holder mounted to the rear wheel well on the driver's side. All of the fuses in there are good and the connections are tight. i have not seen another fuse holder connected anywhere.

Often there is one positive 12 V connection to the middle of the battery pack in the rear. Sometimes this gets missed when the batteries are reconnected.

That got it. It was connected but not tight enough. Tightened all the bolts and now they work. Simple fixes are the answer sometimes. That what I get for being too careful and trying not to over tighten things. Thanks for your patience with a newbie.

No Problem, that was easy. Now find some spray protector for all those battery terminals to complete the job.
