is the outer part (black part) screwing into the clutch itself , and then the shiny center bolt is going to press against the shaft to pull the clutch off. Is that what I am seeing ?

Could you get your impact in there ? and do you have the black portion screwed in quite a bit.?

Oh no the black part is part of the clutch itself sorry I read ur message wrong. The silver bolt is screwed into the black part. Thats where the original bolt was screwed into

This is what the clutch looks like with it all back together except the silver bolts the puller

Have you tried to tighten the puller as far as you possibly can with an impact, then give the end of the puller a very quick, hard hit with a steel hammer? Don't keep hitting it if it doesn't pop off. You could damage the crank bearings.

If you have a grease gun, pump the hole as full of grease as you possibly can. Then try the puller again. The grease will create a hydraulic action to remove the clutch. It needs to be full. You may have to put more grease in after the first attempt. This trick actually works better with just a 2.5" - 3" bolt rather than a puller.
