1975 Cushman Differential Oil??? Which type?
Good morning party people. My first post and since I did not see a sub-forum for Cushman, I am inserting my inquiry here.
I have a 1975 Cushman Golfster, 36V. I have little to no information on this electric cart as far as the specifications of the vehicle, one of which is the differential oil. I would like to replace the lube, but am unclear on which viscosity to utilize. Thank you for any advice or practical experience. d1 |

Good to know, I have read over a hundred threads discussing how 30W motor oil should be used vs. 80W-90. For the older carts, I wasn't sure what was acceptable.

Hi,
I'm wondering what you decided to go with. I'm in the same boat in my Taylor Dunn cart. Manual says 20 weight oil. I can't find that anywhere. I guess 30w motor oil is probably what I will use. Anton |

I wound up using the same lube I put in the lower unit of my boat's outboard motor (80w90). No issues so far.

Thanks for the info.
I'm going to use 90 weight gear lube. I think I've been overthinking this one. |
