Default acceleration question

when you press the pedal on an electric DCS ezgo cart how should you accelerate? does the further down you push the pedal mean you will go faster? my cart has one speed as soon as you hit the pedal it just goes and that's the speed it stays at. I have replaced the microswitch and the throttle sensor. That being said when I replaced the switch in had to move the part that goes into the throttle sensor. It was too far back and as you hit the pedal was forcing the metal part of the microswitch to bend backwards. Anyone have a picture of what it should look like?

The accelerator pedal on your cart works the same as the accelerator pedal in your car. Push it a little ways down and it takes off slowly and doesn't reach a very high speed. Push it all the way down and it accelerates as fast as it can and continues to accelerate until it is going as fast as it can go.

Attached is how to adjust it.

What body style (Medalist or TXT) and year is your DCS?

The might be a Service manual for it floating around here.

One thing about the nut you have to adjust for the ITS plunger. It is not inside the pedal box, as the drawing can suggest, it is outside of the pedal box, in front of it. Don't bang your head around looking for it inside the pedal box. Its not there, at least on my 02 TXT.
