Default Club car DS only starts feathering gas pedal

Hi all! I own a 1997 CC DS, recently acquired. Anyhow the cart will only start by slowly pressing gas pedal then it will idle and can be driven, if I hit it hard the solenoid clicks but doesn't turn starter over at all, not a single budge like it's dead as could be.. After reading I went ahead and replaced the starter brushes, they we're beyond the wear marks. Didn't help a thing, battery is at 14.4 volts and just had it tested as well. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Mine does the same thing. I did replace the micro switches and still does it.

Following this;

Mine does the same. Starter just rebuilt. New battery.

I have to depress the gas pedal slowly, 1/10th of travel and hold until it starts (usually 1sec), and then press on down to go/accelerate. I can't jump in and stomp it to the floor and expect to go like at the golf course - LOL! I am, however, used to the routine for mine.

what about the linkage from pedal to black box, the micro switch it activates to engage starter ??
sounds like it may need some adjustment since you have to feather the pedal to activate switch to get it started (activate starter, start it then go)

have you done a complete tune up and valve adjustment w/ pressure test ?
