91 Marathon Starter/Generator ?
I am new to the group but have been using the great information for a while. I have a 91 Marathon and I need a new starter. Does anyone know where to find a deal? I am completing a rebuild but can't fire it off until I get one, and it is driving me crazy.

Welcome, bblover !!!
Deals sometimes show up on ebay.....but, it is very hit and miss. You can put a wanted ad in the parts section here! Good Luck |

Re: 91 Marathon Starter/Generator ?
have u checked with some of the parts suppliers online? I have gotten stuff from buggiesunlimited.com and golfcartcatalog.com both were reasonably priced and fast on shipping. There are many other places you can get a starter from. I need to rebuild my S/G or replace it as well but am waiting to bite the bullet on the price. Good luck!!

Re: 91 Marathon Starter/Generator ?
Your local Autozone store can probably send it out to be repaired. Just an idea and they can probably get you a rebuilt one. As someone else said you can get them at Buggiesunlimited.com.

Re: 91 Marathon Starter/Generator ?
^^ My thoughts too. It may only need new brushes inside - something that is not overly difficult to do.
It's probably tougher to get the S/G out than it is to put new brushes in. |
