Default 2005 ST350 Engine will not start

Hi All:
I need some advice. (Doesn't every newbie)
I have a 2005 EZ-GO ST350, We purchased it new in 2006.
I was doing the yearly maintenance on it a couple of days ago and now the engine will not start. The cart has been very reliable and has never failed before.

Here is whats happening (or Not happening)

With the key on when you step on the pedal the starter motor runs, but the engine will not start. No cough, sputter nothing.. Even with starting fluid sprayed in the carb I get nothing, If I didn't have spark at the spark plugs I would think it was ignition. But I checked and I have spark with a in line tester and with a plug grounded to the engine.

I have checked the following:
Fuel pump is working, pumps strong.
I have spark at the spark plugs. (used a in-line spark plug tester, and grounded one)
Battery is strong. ( 13.2 Volts)
All fuses I could find, including the 7.5A on the contractor are good.

Any suggestions as to what I am missing here???
Andrew.

fuel + compression + spark = it should run
so lets review "What yearly maintenance" did you do?

Hi rmarcusy:

I did an oil change. and used compressed air to blow off the air filter.
Cleaned and tightened the battery cables and checked the level in the Rear End.( it was over full)
This is why I am so puzzled I don't think I touched anything that I have not already double checked??

I would crank it over a bit with the plugs out (in case it's flooded) hook up the plugs and lay them on the head, turn it over to make sure they are firing.

what eng do you have?
Is your cart lifted or stock?
did you pull your plug and ground it, crank the eng and see the color of the spark?
Doesn't reality sometimes just suck?

Hi: rmarcusy
Yes it does Suck. I can't figure out what is preventing it from running. I sprayed starter fluid into it and no poop or sputter....... I tested the spark with a plug out and an in line tester and still no fire on the engine... Can't figure it out ( WHAT DID I TOUCH!) All the connectors seem tight and I do have spark.

Is it lifted?
I'm asking because you said the rear end oil was high and on lifted cars , sometime that makes the level marks off.
Did you over fill the oil in the eng, did it all get drained, did you drain it by pulling the oil filter off?, I think it should have been 1 and a half quarts,

I drained the oil by removing the skid plate and then removing the filter/screen. I refilled it with 1.5 Qts and have double checked the oil level it is just under the 'FULL' mark.

The cart is factory lifted.
