carburator help 88 4 cycle
I have an 88 ez go carryall 4 cycle with a bad needle and seat. The local dealer says he cannot buy a kit or a carb for it. Does anyone know where to find one or can I substitute an earlier or later model?

If it is a 1988 then it is a BV 18 carburetor and you can buy the unit new for ~$100 or a repair kit for ~$50.
If you meant 1998 (four stroke) then I that's a different subject. Dave |

The serial number is EG8851163xxx which I interpreted as an 88 model. It is a 4 stroke motor. Also, it is the carryall model, if that helps. I hate to give up on it because otherwise it is in good condition.

You need to go by the manufactures number,not the serial number. 4 strokes didn't come out till like 90-91,unless someone has done a transplant.
