Question 1st time marathon

My cart is 86 with cart jacked up Carb.stays at wide open with pedal down but clutches still open to full speed then. Close it will keep doing that. Is this normal with no load on engine.

you don't feel the motor slow you down when you let off the throttle?

Have cart on jack stands.you can hold throttle wide open clutch on motor and deafened
will go fromopen to close without letting off gas.governor al way unhook.was snow on
ground so didn't. Take out on road now.

Are you saying..............

You have the cart up on jack stands. When you hold the throttle wide open, the clutch on the motor (dirve clutch) and clutch on the differential end (driven clutch) goes from open to close without letting out the throttle. The govenor is unhooked. You didn't want to take it out on the road becasue there is snow on the ground.
