'83 - Battery cover "popped off"
After some riding, my son noticed that one of the two battery covers "popped off". There appears to be some liquid splashed along the top of the battery.
Something tells me that's not good :-) Any thoughts on what might cause this? Excessive heat? Over charging? Steps to diagnose? _mike |

Re: '83 - Battery cover "popped off"
I'm not sure on the diagnosis but I have seen them overheat when charging. I would assume that if it got hot enough it would build up pressure and possibly pop the cap off.
