Re: First Cart- Yamaha G19, want to convert to GAS???
What about a G1? Found a running one.. good for the swap? Or could I swap the body and lift over to the G1?

No parts will swap on G1. Maybe wheels, I say maybe.

Re: First Cart- Yamaha G19, want to convert to GAS???
just bought a G9 gasser. the frame is rusted through under the battery on driver's side. so... Im looking at pulling the rear end and using in the G16 (electric) for the conversion. looks as though the swing arm on the electric is single/center mount; while the G9 is dual/side mounted... also the gas engine runs great and all the clutch/torque converters work great... but because of the busted frame the bending of the busted frame keeps the cart from going forward. works great in reverse lol... so my question is that what adapters/mounts are needed for the axle swap? I've looked at it and have a good idea of my gameplan, but any suggestions are greatly appreciated.... also do you think the stock Yamaha gas motor is worth using/rebuilding or should I just go big block/aftermarket and call it a day?... I've got three hundred into the g9

Re: First Cart- Yamaha G19, want to convert to GAS???
I probably shouldn't be the first to comment. But I'd take a good look at the G9 frame, and see if its repairable. With only $300 in it, shouldn't be hard to repair and use that car. Tom in the G8 club puts clones in those all the time.
Also, good find, congrats!! And lets see what others have ta say. |

The frame is bad... I can put a screwdriver through more places than not... however the control arm and axle are mint! From the under the battery and up the frame is rusted complete through
