serial number question
New guy here!!! Ran my cart out of oil so I need to begin a re build. I have a serial number on engine JN6-013482 and one on a metal plate near battery JN6-101302. Can anyone tell me what engine and cart I have? I believe its a 97 g16. I need to order a re build kit I suppose but not positive what engine I have. Thanks for your time

According to the numbers you gave it is a G16 1997. I don't know for sure what engine is in it though but you should be able to find out based on year and model and order any parts you need.

reading the parts page for Yamaha engines the G16 is a forced air cooled single cylinder 301cc 4-stroke OHV

the above mentioned re build kit seems to be for a two stroke. Is there a good place to buy a 4 stroke one?

Ok, so i have looked at all the yr. charts. And i believe mine is an 81', is this correct? # on frame is J10-040885. # on motor is S215-040885. Or could it be 81-82 didn't they do something diff. that yr. or not? Txs.
