Default G16 Won't move AT ALL when wet...

Okay, so I've checked the belt, it's tight. Not much more I can think of. When I wash it, you can here the starter motor turning, but it is spinning inside the belt. Any ideas?

Starter belt needs to be just a bit tighter, but not much. Also, need to blow coil and spark plug boot with compressed air to dry it, before the motor will light off.

Usually, the test for belt tightness is the ability to flex the belt 1/2" at the point midway between pulleys. More than that means the belt is too loose. Less than that is too tight. But even if the belt is at the proper tightness, it may have worn to the point of glazing smooth both the belt and the pulleys allowing them to slip. You may have to replace the belt and scuff up the pulley grooves before you get it to stop slipping.

Tighten the belt, and keep it dry
