If that's the case, I would say that is a very lean plug. That plug looks new. With start/stop driving, it should be alot darker than that. That's probably why the exhaust is getting hot quickly.

Make sure your lid to the air filter box is seated correctly. Too much air in can cause a lean condition.

Lean is one of two things. Either an air leak between the motor and the carb, or low fuel supply. Check for both. Is this cart stock?

Idealy you want a nice almond tan color on the end of the plug.

Does it run good? I'm guessing that if it isn't hesitating it is running very well. A lean motor usually runs extremely well, for a short time.
