Need a reverse beeper and horn
Just got word that in order to bring my own golf cart to a camp ground that it needs a reverse beeper and horn. I looked on Ebay with no luck for the G9. Any idea where I can locate both for a Yamaha G9?
Thanks guys!!!! |

Re: Need a reverse beeper and horn
When you put the cart in reverse it should make a buzzing noise. Mine doesn't so I need that as well as a functioning horn.

Re: Need a reverse beeper and horn
It already had a reverse buzzer, it is likely just unplugged. It is located under the seat, on top of the inner fender, on drivers side. If you don't want to mess with a horn, go to Walmart and get a disposable marine air horn. It's a can of air, that blows a horn when you press the top button. Will do many blasts before it's empty.
(For a little while, my kid pretty much refused to get up on time to get ready for school- we don't have that problem any more, and she really hates Walmarts marine air horns) |

Interesting. I'll be shocked if I had one all along and it just wasn't plugged in.
Thanks! |

Re: Need a reverse beeper and horn
So I found the buzzer but now I think I have a wiring issue. Here is a pic right behind the reverse knob. You can see I have a plug that isn't plugged into anything. Am I missing something and what do you think the wire nut is doing?? Can someone take a similar pic of their G9 so I can see what its supposed to look like?
Thanks! Reverse switch.jpg |

Here's your wire diagram...
https://www.cunninghamgolfcar.com/Im...maha%20G9A.pdf Looks like the wire nut is 12v. It's been butchered... |

Re: Need a reverse beeper and horn
Thanks guys. Whoever had the cart before me did some questionable wiring by adding that wire nut. Not sure how it's supposed to look or if I need to get a new harness.
