Can I put a 2017 48v motor on a 1987 36v cart?

Need to get the Alltrax toolkit software and connect your laptop/PC to the controller with the USB connection, and see how much throttle command is being given.
There is an adjustment that can affect how much throttle the controller sees, but unless you hook up the toolkit you won't know if it's getting full throttle or not.

I just spoke to alltrax and I ordered the cable I need, and i just downloaded the software. They told me to call them, as soon as I have everything ready so they can guide me through what to tune.
