Exclamation Back together and running with a new problem!

Got the old G2 back together. The poor idling and rattling noise are both gone. Now it has a tough time getting started. I have to pump the peddle with the engine spinning. When it hits she starts. "the beast" as I call her has really challenged my nerves. Also when it idles it cuts on an off. I can hear a clicking. Sounds like a rev limiter or something. Not smooth like the governor and not missing. Any thoughts!

Thanks,
JW "the shade tree mechanic" stressing on "the beast" Project G2

Cutting on and off again at low idle. Where would be the first place to start looking on the ignition side of things?

I hope that this post helps someone in the same situation that I have been in. Pulled the carb back down and found the pilot port stopped up. Used a very small torch tip cleaner and it starts and idles pretty good. I still have a switch somewhere cutting on and off. I am beginning to believe that it may be the stop switch. I am going to pursue it this afternoon.

Got it!!!!! She is finally running like a top. Final problem was a throttle cable adjustment at the gas pedal. Move on to the suspension, and drive train.
